My story

Gentle, Calm & AffectionateCharlie is a gracious companion who should really be called King Charles in both name and noble temperament. BIO & BACKGROUND:- Shepherd mix, Male (neutered), 1.5 years old - Medium-Large sized (45 lb) and Medium-energy- Charlie comes from Antigua where he was the only surviving puppy from his litter- He is house-trained, microchipped and has his core vaccinationsABOUT CHARLIE: - Friendly, affectionate and will lean in for a pet at every opportunity- He can be shy at first but quickly warms up- Charlie is good in a car- Charlie is good on a leash; he’s curious but non-reactive to dogs he sees on a walk- He has not shown any prey drive on walks, so may be good with cats- Charlie has great recall skills—but let’s be honest, he’s already right behind you anywayCHARLIE’S IDEAL HOME:- Charlie needs a family that will give him time to settle at his own pace for his confidence to grow, once he settles into his home his true, loving nature will shine and he will be a loyal companion- Given his love of people, he is still learning not to ‘hug’ (a.k.a. jump up) in excitement when greeting you so he would do better with older children - Gets along with most dogs (if his potential adopter already has a dog, we will arrange for a meet & greet)All hail King Charlie: ruler of hearts, chaser of snacks, and certified good boy. ??
