Chinook and her sweet brother Kodiak have been donated to a great rescue near Lynwood, WA. Please email us if you would like to adopt either of them and we will promptly forward your contact information to the new rescue! thank you so much. Check Out our YouTube Videos: https://youtube.com/shorts/RFZ-jeoKIWU?feature=share https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dlKtKRreq4 She is great with dogs/cats but shy with new humans but is getting tons of socializtion ! CHINOOK is a fun, sweet, loving mixed breed female. The breed is unusual...we think he is a "white shepherd" mix. As a small puppy she looked like a little Polar Bear. She is starting to get some cream/reddish coloring to her feet. She currently has 1 ear up and 1 ear trying to come up. This will happen slowly as the cartilage strengthens. She will be a great family dog. She would also be good for an active person/couple that wants to hike, boat, or swim. Our best estimate is she will be 45-50 pounds This is what her foster has to say about her "Both these two sibling puppies are calm natured , love cuddles and are silky soft. Neither cares much about cats, Chinook avoids them and Kodiak is curious but he’s easily distracted with a “leave it”. They are both learning “sit” and potty training. Chinook looks cattle dog like but is nothing like one! If anyone asks she is the antithesis of a cattle dog. They are fine with other dogs and neither is much of a barker. Kodiak will bark when he is unsure about something a little scary. Chinook has rarely barked . Maybe when playing with her brother. Both sleep in a crate through the night and do great and have been crated for breaks during the day. No problem. Not high energy dogs at all . Neither of them likes peanut butter but they both like cheese, turkey and they LOVE Fresh pet!". HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt CHINOOK aka Sweetie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
