QUICK FACTS Name: Tomo Age: Around 4 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Dachshund mix Color: Brown Weight: 4kg / 8.8lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was born in a city pound, so shelter life is all I’ve ever known. But despite that, I’ve kept my gentle and hopeful spirit. Thankfully, I was rescued and given a second chance, and now I’m at a care facility where I’m learning what love and safety feel like. I’m patiently waiting for my forever family—the one who will show me the world beyond the shelter and give me the life I’ve always deserved.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a little shy at first, but it really doesn’t take me long to warm up—give me about 30 minutes and you’ll see my true personality shine! Once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily follow you around, asking for attention, treats, and a little extra love. I’m super cute and love showing my silly, affectionate side. I also really enjoy playing with toys and having fun once I’ve settled in.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but I settle in quickly. I love treats and will gently take them from your hand as I start to feel more comfortable. Once I warm up, I happily accept pets and affection. I also allow myself to be picked up and can even show my belly pretty quickly once I feel safe. · With Dogs: I enjoy greeting new dog friends, but I usually prefer to do my own thing afterward. Even if another dog is being a bit pushy, I stay calm and simply walk away—I’m a peaceful, drama-free kind of pup. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level and enjoy a nice balance in my day. I like spending time outdoors exploring and getting fresh air, and afterward I’m more than happy to snuggle in and enjoy a cozy nap.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m currently learning how to walk on a leash and making progress as I go. I have good manners around food and don’t guard my meals from people or other dogs. I may bark a little when I’m hoping for attention, but overall I’m a pretty quiet pup. I’m also learning to stay calm and relaxed in my kennel and getting better each day. For my potty routine, I can use both indoor pee pads and go outdoors. I’m still a young pup discovering the world, and with a bit of guidance and love, I’ll continue to grow and build my confidence.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself.
