My story

Nico is a ‘ready right out of the box’ kind of housecat. She is loving, affectionate, playful, and fun! An easygoing girl who is easy to please so long as she has cuddles, food, safety, and toys. She is a big fan of catnip toys and enjoys regular outbreaks of the Zoomies. She is the kind of cat who will thrive with wand toy play sessions. She also enjoys lap time, where she will push her head into your hands to tell you it’s time for chin scratches and head pets. She can get overstimulated when being picked up or carried but will flip over for belly rubs (it’s not a trap)! Nico doesn’t love other cats so if you’re looking for a one-on-one soul cat, this girl is perfect for the job. Currently in foster care in Burbank. Meet & greets / pickup will be coordinated upon approved application & homecheck video. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you!____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
