My story

Doug is a sweet, handsome blue heeler looking for a home that’s ready to give him the active life he deserves. He came to us through a family member who couldn’t properly care for him — and while he’s been loved since, we’re not in a position to give him everything a heeler needs. He deserves a family that chose him. What Doug is like: ∙ Gentle and good-natured with people of all ages, including young children and babies ∙ Gets along well with other dogs (not compatible with pit bulls) ∙ Neutered male, partially up to date on vaccines ∙ Classic blue heeler energy — smart, alert, and loyal He’s not a project dog. He’s just a good boy who needs the right fit. We’re looking for someone who understands the breed — ideally with space to run, an active lifestyle, or experience with working dogs. We want to know where he’s going and feel good about it.
