My story

🐾 Meet Jenny 🐾 πŸ“ Current location: South Korea ❀ Age: 3 years old ❀ Gender: Female (spayed) ❀ Weight: 16 kg ❀ Breed: Terrier mix ❀ Color: Brown ❀ Health: Healthy overall; had 6 teeth extracted in the past 🐢 Personality & Behavior πŸ’– Temperament – Calm, bright, and balanced πŸ’– Energy level – Medium; enjoys walks and outdoor time, but settles down nicely at home πŸ’– People-friendly – She may be a little cautious at first, but once given time and trust, she becomes affectionate with her person πŸ’– Women-friendly – Generally comfortable with women and warms up naturally with a little time πŸ’– Men-friendly – Can be slightly cautious at first, but adjusts well when approached gently and given time πŸ’– Children – A bit careful around children and may feel intimidated by very active kids; when meeting them outside, she usually just passes by without issue πŸ’– Dog-friendly – She does best with slow, thoughtful introductions. Rather than immediately interacting with unfamiliar dogs, she prefers getting to know them gradually through walks. If another dog is overly excited or rude, she may try not to back down, so dog parks or chaotic group settings are not ideal. She would do best socializing with a small number of dogs she gets to know slowly πŸ’– Cat-friendly – Not good; a cat-free home is recommended πŸ’– Only-dog home – Preferred. Jenny would do best as the only dog in the home βœ… Toilet-trained: Outdoor only βœ… Crate-trained: She is generally comfortable using a crate, but if left crated indoors for long periods without people around, she may become anxious βœ… Separation anxiety: No major destructive issues observed, but confinement for long periods when alone is not recommended βœ… Aggression: None noted βœ… Destructive behavior: None observed βœ… Handling: Basic handling is possible, though she may be a little sensitive about being touched at first. Grooming or care routines she dislikes, such as tooth brushing or blow drying, should be introduced slowly after a strong bond is built βœ… Barking: Not a frequent barker βœ… Escape tendency: She can feel nervous around unfamiliar buildings or areas with many buildings, but if given time, she gathers her courage and follows well βœ… Car rides: Rides in the car fairly comfortably 🍽 Eating Habits Jenny may have a reduced appetite in unfamiliar environments, but her appetite improves as she settles in. Because of her past tooth extractions, very hard treats are not recommended, and she tends to chew a bit slowly. She is currently eating a variety of foods, including kibble, freeze-dried food, fresh food, and wet food. πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Walks & Daily Life Walks: Jenny enjoys walks and has generally good leash manners. She is currently walked using an all-in-one leash setup. If an unfamiliar dog reacts to her, she may pause, but she is usually manageable with cues such as β€œsit” and treats. Home life: Although she has a nice energy level outdoors, she is calm and relaxed inside the home. She can live well in an apartment. Yard: A yard is not required, but having one would be a nice bonus. πŸ’” Background Story Jenny was rescued after falling into a waterway and was taken to the Changwon City Shelter, where she stayed for several months. She is a gentle, thoughtful dog who may need a little time in new situations, but she responds beautifully to patience and kindness. Jenny is looking for a home that will respect her pace, help her feel safe, and let her build trust naturally. If you are looking for a sweet, balanced, and quietly affectionate companion, Jenny may be the perfect match for you.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt JENNY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
