My story

Jelly Roll. We rescued this boy 6 months ago, we were told he was a 2 year old chihuahua. Since weve found out hes much older than that, maybe closer to 6 or 7 and looks like a jack russel mix. He is the sweetest boy. But our young children, and 2.5 year old chihuahua absolutely wear him out and he can not keep up. Weve been trying for 6 months to help him adjust and fit in, but I believe it may be depressing him that he cant energy wise keep up with everyone. He would rather be cuddled up on my lap or runs to his kennel to be alone. He would thrive in a quiet slow paced environment, and we are devastated we cant give that to him. He definitely took to me immediately, and did take some time to warm up to my husband. Hes drawn to women! All we know about his past is that the rescue said he was from a hoarder situation. He is an avid napper and lounger, he is house trained, and kennel trained. We keep a vibrating collar on him to train him not to bark and he responds well to it.
