QUICK FACTS Name: Nelly Age: About 3 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Border Collie – Jindo Mix Color: Black Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the euthanasia list at the city shelter. Now I’m safe and ready to start a new chapter with a loving family of my own.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Nelly, a sweet and loving little dog with a big heart. One of my front legs didn’t fully develop from birth, but it doesn’t slow me down or stop me from enjoying life. In fact, many people don’t even notice it at first because of how bright and happy my personality is. I truly love everyone I meet—every person feels like my favorite person! I greet people warmly and happily follow along wherever they go. I’m also very polite with other dogs and enjoy playing without ever starting trouble. I’m well-mannered and already know some basics like sit. I also love toys, especially playing fetch and bringing them back to you. I’m a dog with a wonderful temperament and lovely manners. I’m a truly perfect little companion ready to fill a home with love.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a loving and friendly pup! Not only with people I already know — I’ll happily walk up to new people too, rub against them, and let them hold me in their arms and pet me. Once we become close, I’ll roll over and show you my belly — that’s my way of saying I feel safe and would love some belly rubs! I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, but I believe I’ll get along great with them! · With Dogs: I like walking up to both familiar dogs and new dogs to say hello and invite them to play. I am a gentle dog. Even when another dog tries to provoke me, I usually choose to walk away instead of getting into trouble. I prefer to keep things calm and friendly. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy outdoor activities like walks and exploring, and I’m always happy to spend time outside. After some fun outdoor time, I’m also very good at settling down and resting quietly at home. I have a nice balance between playtime and relaxation. I have lots of experience going on walks, so I’m a very polite walking companion. I don’t pull on the leash and I follow my person nicely. I love calm, enjoyable walks where I can stay right by your side and explore the world together.     TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food — not from people and not from other dogs. I’m very easygoing at mealtime.I’m generally a very quiet pup and rarely bark.When I’m placed in a kennel, I stay calm and settle down nicely.I’m mostly used to going potty outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES One of my front legs has a disability. It’s believed to be a congenital condition, which means the leg didn’t fully develop as I grew. Even though my leg is a little different, I still get around in my own way and enjoy life just like any other pup.
