My story

We have two little “Rafter” rescue kitties available for adoption! These are sweet mama Beam’s babies — the remaining two of six kittens she stashed away in the roof rafters of a shed. This rescue story gained quite a bit of attention as we celebrated the successful tracking back to Beam’s hidden kittens through an AirTag placed on a collar around her neck. Four of the six babies have already been adopted in pairs and now Tar (f) and Rafter (m) — 14 weeks old — are looking for their perfect home. These two littles are the most timid of the bunch, so they will need a patient home that will gently and lovingly help them learn that humans are kind and safe. Because they can be easily overwhelmed, they are not suited for a home with young children. We’re hoping to find them a quiet, calm household that will support their continued socialization. Submit an Adoption Application here: https://www.rapsbc.com/cat-adoption/ A meet and greet for approved adopters can be scheduled outside of our regular weekend visiting hours. They are currently settling in at our Adoption Centre: 3380 No. 6 Rd, Richmond Open Saturday & Sunday | 1 – 4 PM Quiet cats may take a little longer to shine — but when they do, the bond is truly special.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tar, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
