My story

Fun-loving and Sweet!Perrito translates to ‘cute doggie’ and consensus is that he sure is!Perrito is a loyal and dedicated companion and will form deep bonds with his person. When he first came into the shelter he was a little reserved at first but once he learned he was in a safe environment his fun-loving side emerged! He now happily greets all the volunteers.ABOUT PERRITO: - Potcake/Shepherd Mix, Male, 9 months-old, and Medium-energy- Medium-sized at 50 lbs (could grow to be 60-70 lbs) - Perrito comes from Antigua where he was found as a puppy and taken in by a local rescue- Food-motivated and loves an enrichment game- Perrito is playful, he loves playing tug with a rope and he’s learning to play ball - during play he is always gentle and polite - Perrito is neutered, house-trained, microchipped and has his core vaccinationsPERRITO’S IDEAL HOME:- Perrito needs a family that will give him time to settle at his own pace for his confidence to grow, once he settles into his home his true, loving nature will shine and he will be a loyal companion- He really enjoys time outdoor (he’s a real sniffer) and would prefer a household that will give him access to time outdoors- Perrito is eager to learn and would benefit from a family committed to continue his training- He is not crate trained and is not comfortable in small spaces- When greeting you he likes to gently put his paws on your chest to get in closer, this will need work but for now he might do better with older children So are you looking for a cute doggie? Perrito sure hopes so!If you have any questions about Perrito contact his Adoption Coordinator at: jenc.ehs@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Perrito, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
