My story

This beautiful girl is ready to find her forever home. Although she can be shy and nervous at first, once she warms up she turns into the sweetest and silliest goofball! She loves to get out and go on adventures with her people. She really enjoys running and rolling around outside and playing with tennis balls. Ramona would do best with a family who will be patient and let her set the pace to help her build confidence. In return she will offer loyalty and lots of affection.**This dog’s adoption fee has been reduced to help them find their forever home! Applicants will still need to complete our regular adoption process and meet all of this pet’s requirements to be approved**IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:60lbs.HOME TYPE:House or Townhouse- No apartments as she can be nervous with new people and can be vocal at times.CHILDREN:Yes - Near adult aged children with large dog experience due to being nervous/timid.CATS & SMALL ANIMALS:Yes- Cats potentially compatible with slow proper introduction.OTHER DOGS:Yes- Dogs potentially compatible.ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:First time dog owner possible.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:At least two in person training sessions to work on basic training, basic manners, socialization and touch sensitivity.HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:Very human social once comfortable.FAVOURITE THINGS:Ramona loves tennis balls, enjoys running around in our big fenced-in area and rolling in the snow!For more information on any behaviours stated above, please check out our behaviour fact sheet: https://kwsphumane.ca/BehavioursandDefinitionsAt HSKWSP we do not assign our dogs or cats with a breed as we cannot guarantee the specific breed that they are.
