My story

QUICK FACTS  Name: Udon Age: 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Corgi Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was rescued from the euthanasia list at a crowded city pound simply because there wasn’t enough space. It was a scary time, but kind rescuers saw me and stepped in just in time to give me a second chance. Now I’m safe, cared for, and ready to begin a beautiful new chapter with a forever family who will love and cherish me the way I deserve.    MY HEALTH  • Spayed & healthy with no known health issues • All vaccinations up-to-date    MY PERSONALITY  I’m even more irresistible in real life! I’m truly the whole package — goofy, adorable, and just a tiny bit sassy in the cutest way. I might play a little hard to get at first, but I’m actually a big softie who loves showing my sweet, affectionate side once I warm up. I also have a wonderfully goofy personality that keeps volunteers and staff laughing every day. I’m very expressive — especially when it comes to food! You’ll always know when I’m excited about mealtime. I’m a fun, energetic girl with tons of charm and personality packed into one adorable pup.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I can be a tiny bit shy at first — or maybe I just like to pretend I am! It doesn’t take long for me to warm up, especially with a few tasty treats and some gentle, kind words. Once I feel the vibe, I’m all in — I’ll even roll over and show my belly, sometimes even to people I’ve just met! I allow myself to be picked up and truly enjoy being close. During my profile photoshoot, I happily accepted lots of treats and affection from the volunteers and staff, soaking up all the attention like the sweet girl I am. · With Dogs: I like to greet new dogs with a polite hello, but I don’t rush straight into play. I prefer to take my time, observe, and do my own thing first. I get along well with the dogs at the care facility and know how to coexist nicely. That said, I’m a confident girl and not afraid to stand my ground if another dog is being pushy or rude — I simply know how to advocate for myself. With thoughtful introductions and a bit of management when meeting new dogs, I do just fine and settle in smoothly. I may even act a little sassy sometimes and like to think I’m the “boss” around the care facility — but it’s all part of my charming, spirited personality. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.  A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a moderate energy level and enjoy the best of both worlds. I love heading outdoors to explore, soak up some sunshine, and take in all the interesting sights and smells. After I’ve had my adventure, I’m more than happy to come inside, curl up, and snuggle in for some cozy, relaxing time.    TRAINING & HABITS  I can get a little excited at the start of walks and may pull at first, but once I’ve had a moment to settle, I calm down and follow my handler’s lead nicely. Walk time just makes me really happy! I don’t guard my food from people, though I can be a bit sensitive if other dogs are nearby during mealtime — I just prefer a little personal space while I eat. I rarely bark, but I might let out a small bark if I’m asking for attention. I rest calmly in my kennel and am comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outdoors.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding my love for food and willing to guide me with patience so I learn to be more patient when other dogs are nearby    SPECIAL NOTES  When I was at the city pound, counting down the days toward my euthanasia date, all I wanted was to be close to someone. Every time the door opened, I tried my very best to slip out and snuggle into someone’s arms. I just craved comfort and human connection. Even through that difficult time, I never lost my loving spirit. I’m a lively, happy girl who adores people and truly deserves the very best. I have a big appetite and am very food-motivated, which makes me eager to please and quick to learn. With love and guidance, I’ll blossom into an amazing companion.   Udon's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2671627##
