My story

Meet Javier (Javi) Javi is a petite 3&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old, 8 pound Shih Tzu mix with a soft black coat. He had very little human interaction early in life, so he is timid, but already blossoming in his foster home. He’s taking treats, offering sweet little hand kisses, and learning structure and routine.   Javi recently discovered how much he enjoys neighborhood walks and is picking up leash skills beautifully. Once he feels safe, his playful side comes out. He’d love another small, friendly dog who can both romp and snuggle. Javi is very comfortable with other dogs.    Structure helps Javi thrive. He does best with routine, gentle boundaries, and patient humans. He now sleeps comfortably in his crate and settles after a few minutes when left alone. He’s still working on potty training and will need someone consistent and encouraging.   Who Javi is looking for: A calm, loving home that understands trust takes time. Because of his size and sensitive nature, he’s best with older children only.   If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive companion who will reward your patience with growing affection, Javi might be your perfect match.
