 QUICK FACTS  Name: Aesop Age: 5 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Samoyed Jindo mix Color: Beige Weight: 19kg / 42lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was rescued from a crowded city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. Thankfully, I was saved just in time, and now I’m ready to find my forever family and begin a beautiful new chapter.    MY HEALTH  • Neutered & healthy with no known health issues • All vaccinations up-to-date    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a friendly, loving boy who truly adores both people and my dog friends. Volunteers and staff are always complimenting how well-behaved, gentle, and sweet I am. They say I have such a kind soul, and any lucky family who welcomes me home will be showered with loyalty and love. One of my special talents is looking into your eyes and communicating softly with my sweet facial expressions — I have a way of melting hearts without even trying. And trust me, I’m even cuter and more handsome in person! I love playing with toys and have a fun, energetic side that keeps life exciting. I’m the perfect mix of gentle and playful — ready to be your best friend, adventure buddy, and cuddle companion all in one.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I’m super sweet and affectionate with everyone I meet! I absolutely love soaking up love and attention from the volunteers and staff, and I happily lean in for pets and cuddles whenever I can. Being close to my people makes me the happiest, and I even allow myself to be picked up and held. I haven’t had much experience with children under 13 yet, but with my gentle and friendly nature, I’m confident I’ll do well with respectful, kind kids who understand how to be sweet with me. · With Dogs: I love playing with my dog friends and meeting new pups along the way. Playtime is always a highlight for me, and I enjoy making new canine companions. I generally feel most comfortable with dogs my size or smaller, where we can have fun and interact in a way that feels balanced and happy for everyone. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.    ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a moderate energy level and enjoy a nice balance in my day. I love spending time outdoors, exploring and taking in all the sights and smells around me. After I’ve had my adventure, I’m more than happy to come inside, curl up, and relax with some cozy snuggle time.    TRAINING & HABITS  I walk nicely on leash and do a wonderful job following my handler’s lead. Walks are one of my favorite times, and I’m happy to stay connected with my person as we explore together. I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs, and I have calm, easygoing manners around mealtime. I rarely bark and know how to rest peacefully in my kennel when it’s time to relax. I’m also well-adjusted with my potty routine and can use both indoor pee pads and go outdoors. I’m truly a well-mannered boy who fits easily into home life.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever    SPECIAL NOTES  When the volunteers and staff first saw me at the city pound, I looked so defeated — sad, skinny, and malnourished. I would even let my kennel mate take my food because I was too discouraged to stand up for myself. Seeing that, the volunteers gave me extra care and attention, and little by little, I began to feel safe again. Now that I’m in the care facility, surrounded by love and kindness, I’ve opened up so much. My sweet, affectionate personality has truly blossomed. I’m a bright, happy boy with a super handsome smile, and I get along well with both people and dogs.
