My story

QUICK FACTS  Name: Gyuri Age: About 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 20kg / 44lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  When the city shelter had a change in management following reports of illegal use of abandoned dogs for experiments, many of the dogs who were already there were scheduled for euthanasia. Two dogs from the same kennel were rescued together during that time—and I am one of them. Thanks to that rescue, I was given another chance at life. Now, I’m safe and waiting for a loving family to begin my true forever story.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Neutered & healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a calm and easygoing dog with a gentle heart. When I was rescued, even on the 3-hour ride, I stayed completely quiet, relaxed, and comfortable on my blanket. I didn’t move around or fuss at all. And when I arrived at my foster home, I adapted quickly to the new space and followed my people right away. I got along well with both small and large dogs, even when the big ones played energetically! I love people and enjoy giving affection. I’m very gentle, affectionate, and relaxed—a typical Jindo with excellent manners. I’m ready to bring calm, love, and loyalty to my forever family.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I’m super affectionate! I don’t just cuddle with people I know — I’ll happily walk up to new friends too, rub my body against them, and let them pet me and hold me right away. Once we become close, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly — that’s how you know I really trust and love you! I haven’t had a chance to meet children under 13 yet, but I’m sure I’ll love them too! · With Dogs: I love saying hello — not just to dogs I already know, but to new dogs too! I’ll happily walk up, greet them politely, and invite them to play. I’m generally especially friendly and relaxed with dogs who are around the same size as me. I’m a peaceful sweetheart. Even if another dog tries to pick a fight, I’d rather walk away and avoid trouble. I’m not into drama — I just want to have fun and get along with everyone! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have moderate energy level – I enjoy outdoor adventures like walks and playtime, and I’m always happy to explore and have fun! But once we’re done and back home, I settle down calmly and rest quietly. I have lots of experience going on walks, so I’m a pretty polite walker! I don’t pull on the leash, and I stay close, following my person nicely. Walking with me feels easy and comfortable — I just enjoy being by your side and exploring the world together    TRAINING & HABITS  I don’t guard my food from people at all — you can be around me while I eat, no problem! But if another dog comes too close during mealtime, I might give a little growl to say, “Hey, this is mine!” I’m usually very quiet and hardly ever bark. The only time I might bark is when I see a stranger — just to let you know someone new is there. When I’m in a kennel, I stay calm and well-behaved. I settle down nicely. I mostly go potty outside, as I’m used to outdoor bathroom routines.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   Gruri's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2666613##
