My story

Everyone Say Hi to Bolt! 🐾⚡ Part heartthrob, part couch philosopher, 100% going to steal your heart. This handsome boy was pulled from the euthanasia list and given a second chance, first landing at a beautiful horse sanctuary to begin his foster journey. Ranch life, however? Not exactly his vibe. Bolt took one look at the wide open spaces and decided he’s more of a comfort and quiet kind of guy — and honestly, we respect it. Since making his way to Phoenix, he’s already proving he made the right call. 🏡✨ His Story 💛 Bolt is 1yr7mo old and, until recently, had only ever known one home — the one he was born into. He came into the world as part of an accidental litter, and while his siblings were adopted out, Bolt stayed behind with mom and dad. Eventually, that situation led him to the shelter, and now here we are. He didn’t ask for any of this 😭 Who He Is Right Now ✨ Bolt is a boy in transition, and that’s okay! He’ll thrive in a foster home for a bit longer, or he could go directly to the right forever home — one with patient, understanding humans who get that he just needs a little time to find his footing in this new chapter. What we can tell you is that the glimmer is already back in his eyes. Back in a home environment, this kid is already coming out of his shell, faster than expected. Here’s what we’re working with: • 🐾 Wiggly & sweet — belly flops are his love language • 🥓 Certified food hound — sweet potatoes, bacon, eggs, rice cakes… the boy has taste • 🦮 Lovely on a leash — calm, easy walking buddy who loves seeing the neighborhood dogs • 😌 Zero reactivity — keeps his cool like a gentleman A Note on Dog Friends 🐶 Bolt has lived with other dogs before! The sanctuary noted some food-related scuffles, which really just means he’d do best in a home where dogs are fed separately — an easy fix for a very common thing. Nothing dramatic, just a pup who takes his snacks seriously. Same, Bolt. Same. Bolt is neutered, vaccinated, and ready to be someone’s whole world. If you think you might be his person — reach out today! 🐕💛⚡

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bolt, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
