My story

DOB: Aug 31, 2020- FIV/FeLV negative Personality: Sir Fluff is a sweet, curious, and remarkably intelligent boy who wants nothing more than to be near his people. While he isn't quite a lap cat yet, he is a dedicated "sidekick" who will cuddle up against you on the sofa and loves to sleep close to his humans, day or night. He is a social boy who will follow you into the kitchen to supervise your cooking and will be waiting patiently at the door the moment you get home. Funny quirks: -He has a distinct, regal gait that makes him look like a miniature king of the jungle. -When it comes to playtime, he prefers to stalk his favourite wand toys or the Cat Dancer from a distance for a long time before making his grand pounce. -When he’s feeling particularly playful and wants your attention, he’ll let you know with a playful paw or a gentle "love bite" at your ankles. -He isn't much of a climber. Instead, he prefers the finer things at ground level, like tunnels, closets, and cozy dark spaces. History: Sir Fluff came to Toronto Cat Rescue after his previous family found they could no longer manage his specialized health needs. Now five years old, he is looking for a forever home that can provide the consistent care he needs to stay healthy and handsome. Sir Fluff is a cat who requires a dedicated owner to manage two main areas: Skin Care: He has a skin condition that is easily managed with a quick dab of transdermal steroid cream on his ear every other day. During Toronto winters, he also appreciates a humidifier to keep his skin hydrated. Sensitive Tummy: He has a very sensitive stomach and must stay on his vet-prescribed diet. Because certain treats can cause tummy upset, he needs a family that can be disciplined with his snacks. Fitness Goals: As a "big boy", Sir Fluff is on a journey to a healthier weight and will need a family to help him stick to his diet plan. Special note from the foster family: Sir Fluff truly lives up to his valiant title. When he first arrived, he was struggling with significant fur loss, scabs, and tummy issues that seemed impossible to solve. Watching his transformation has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. Today, he is a different cat: his coat is long, thick, and beautiful, and his health is stable and managed. He’s ready to face the world!
