My story

🖤 Meet Raven 🖤 Gentle. Soulful. Graceful. At just over 2 years old and 11.6 lbs, Raven is a tall, slender beauty with the softest eyes and the sweetest heart. Currently in Ancaster, Ontario, she has finished her heartworm treatment . 💪🐾 She will require a heartworm retest in June 2026 to confirm she is fully cleared. Raven is deeply bonded to her people. She can be shy and nervous when meeting new faces or entering new environments — she may cower or try to hide at first. But once she feels safe, her true self shines: a playful, affectionate little lovebug who melts into your arms and lives for cuddles. 🥹💕 She is fully potty trained, walks beautifully on leash, does well on stairs, and travels great in the car. She knows “come,” “treats,” “potty time,” and “supper,” and she’s very food motivated and eager to please. She loves her ball and squeaky toys, enjoys a good zoomie when she gets the chance, and then happily settles in for couch time or curls up at the foot of the bed in her favorite blanket. 🛋️🧸 Raven gets along well with dogs and cats. She may initiate play but also values her rest and space. There has been mild resource guarding, which has been easily corrected and should continue to improve in a calm, predictable home. She’s not a barky girl. She briefly barked when first adjusting to being left alone but now settles quietly. She may occasionally bark at strangers. She does not do well in kennels and prefers not to be crated, but she is non-destructive and perfectly content being left out to relax freely. Raven would thrive in a calm, low-key home with adults or gentle, dog-savvy children. Loud or boisterous households would likely overwhelm her sensitive nature. She needs kind, patient, soft-spoken humans who will give her time to adjust — she doesn’t love sudden drastic changes, but she does blossom beautifully with consistency. 🌿 A fenced yard isn’t required, but she would adore a safe space to run and feel the wind in her ears. More than anything, Raven is looking for someone who will move at her pace and love her for who she is. In return, she offers unwavering loyalty and a once-in-a-lifetime bond.
