My story

Meet Luna the moonlit marvel who is here to eclipse every other pup in your heart with her radiant charm clever sparkle and the kind of devoted love that makes every day feel like a clear starry night adventure. She is a lively young adult just over 1 year old. She is a striking Australian Shepherd mix with a short white and brown coat and a medium build. She weighs about 40 pounds which puts her in the medium size category. At a year of age and lots of years ahead of her she boasts that Aussie spark with bright intelligent eyes and an irresistible energetic charm that draws everyone in.Luna is a warm friendly dog who bonds well with other dogs and children positioning her perfectly for a bustling family life full of activity. Her history with cats remains unknown as she has not had experienced the company of a cat since coming into rescue. Her leash training is still in progress however she learns fast with steady positive encouragement and gentle consistency. Her sharp herding smarts and affectionate personality mean she flourishes with engaging games mental challenges and plenty of one-on-one time. Luna has made superstar status with her house and crate training skills. Although she is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. With her eye-catching coat vibrant energy and deeply loyal heart, Luna longs for a forever home bursting with outdoor adventures and a family eager to celebrate her clever loving spirit every day. If you seek a brilliant companion who will circle your world with joy and endless affection Luna is poised to become your brightest companion.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Luna is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.April 6, 2026, 7:30 am
