My story

QUICK FACTS  Name: Day Age: Estimated to be 7 months old Gender: Female (Spaying to be scheduled) Breed: Jindo corgi mix Color: White & Light brown Weight: ~9kg / ~20lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was once roaming the streets with my small group, doing my best to survive and stay safe each day. Somewhere along the way, I ended up alone. Thankfully, kind-hearted people noticed me and stepped in to rescue me. Now I’m safe and slowly settling into life at the care facility, and I’m ready to begin a brand-new chapter with a forever family who will give me the love and security I’ve always deserved.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Scheduled to be spayed soon, healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a sweet girl—and even cuter in person! I’m not sure how I ended up abandoned and wandering the streets on my own, but despite everything, I’ve kept my trusting heart. I still love people and get along wonderfully with my dog friends. I may need a little time at first to feel fully comfortable, but tasty treats and gentle, kind words help me open up quickly. Once I do, you’ll see just how loving and special I truly am.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I may be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly with tasty treats and gentle encouragement. Once I feel comfortable, I happily accept soft affection and cuddles—and I’m okay with being picked up too. · With Dogs: I get along wonderfully with other dogs! I love greeting new dog friends, and playtime is truly my favorite part of the day. I’m much less shy with dogs than I am with people, and I gain a lot of confidence and emotional support from my furry friends. I’m also a natural peacekeeper—if another dog gets pushy or rude, I calmly walk away and avoid the drama. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a moderate to high energy level—just like a typical puppy! I love running around, exploring the world, and discovering new things. After I’ve burned off my energy, I’m more than happy to come inside, curl up, and enjoy a cozy nap.     TRAINING & HABITS  I’m still learning my leash manners, but I’m getting better every single day! Because I may not have had much socialization in my past, loud noises can sometimes startle me, and when that happens, I’ll lie flat on the ground until I feel safe again. With patience, reassurance, and continued guidance, I’m growing more confident all the time. I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs. I may bark occasionally when I want attention, but overall I’m a quiet pup. I already know how to rest calmly in my kennel, and I potty both indoors (using a pee pad) and outdoors. With love and consistency, I’ll continue blossoming into an even more confident companion.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout. I will need some time to open up & continuedsocial desensitization and basic obedience training • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally a home with another dog sibling, but not an absolute requirement    SPECIAL NOTES  I may take a little time to fully show my personality, but once I feel safe, my sweet and gentle heart really shines. I’m thoughtful, observant, and deeply loyal once I build trust. I thrive with patience, consistency, and a calm environment where I can feel secure. I may need gentle guidance as I continue growing in confidence, but I promise to reward you with quiet devotion, soft cuddles, and a loving presence by your side. I’m just waiting for a family who will see my potential and give me the chance to blossom.   Day's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2657644##
