My story

QUICK FACTS  Name: Baro Age: 10 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo terrier mix Color: White, Black, Gray Weight: 9kg / 20lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was rescued from a crowded city pound where I had been placed on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. Thankfully, kind-hearted rescuers saw my situation and saved me just in time. Now I’m safe, cared for, and ready to begin a beautiful new chapter with my forever family.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Neutered & healthy with no known health issues    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a shy boy with so much potential waiting to shine! When I first arrived at the care facility, I was frightened and overwhelmed—understandably so, since my whole world had suddenly changed. But once I realized I was safe, I began to open up. Volunteers and staff quickly discovered how food-motivated I am (I have a huge appetite!), which makes me an eager learner and ready to please. I’ve formed sweet bonds with the staff and get along well with the dogs at the care facility. With patience and love, I’ll continue to grow into an amazing companion.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I may be a little shy at first, but tasty treats are the quickest way to my heart! With a little patience and kindness, I warm up beautifully. I’m comfortable being picked up once I feel safe, and I’ll happily soak up the gentle affection. · With Dogs: I get along very well with the dogs at the care facility and truly rely on them for emotional support. Having a confident dog sibling helps me feel safe and brings out my best self, so I would thrive in a home with another friendly pup to show me the ropes. I generally do best with dogs around my size, and I’m a natural peacekeeper—if another dog gets pushy or rude, I simply walk away and avoid the drama. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a lovely moderate energy level—surprising for a puppy! I enjoy spending time outdoors exploring and sniffing everything around me, then happily curling up indoors for cozy snuggles after soaking up some sunshine.    TRAINING & HABITS  I’m still learning my leash manners, but I’m improving a little more every day! I may not have had much socialization in my past, so loud noises can sometimes startle me—and when that happens, I’ll lie flat on the ground until I feel safe again. With patience, reassurance, and continued training, I’m growing more confident all the time. I don’t guard my food with people, though I can be a bit sensitive when other dogs are nearby during mealtime—but I’m making progress every day and learning that sharing can be a good thing! I have a big appetite and absolutely love food, which makes me very motivated to learn. I’m generally a quiet pup who rarely barks, though I may let out a bark when I see strangers before calming down quickly. I also know how to rest calmly in my kennel and settle nicely when it’s time to relax.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout. I will need some time to open up & continuedsocial desensitization and basic obedience training • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally a home with another dog sibling, but not an absolute requirement • Understanding my love for food & willing to continue with my training so I learn to be more patient when other dogs are around    SPECIAL NOTES  I may not always be the loudest or most outgoing in the room, but I have a gentle heart and so much love to give. I’m still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place, and with patience and kindness, I continue to grow more confident each day. I form strong bonds with my people and thrive in a calm, understanding environment. Once I trust you, I’ll be your loyal shadow—quietly following you around and cherishing every moment by your side. I just need a family who will see my potential and give me the time and love to truly blossom.   Baro's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2657642##
