Meet Dakota High-energy | Loyal | Looking for Trust & Time Dakota is a beautiful, spirited girl who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place when she’s got the right people by her side. A bit fearful at first, she needs a patient person who will give her the time and space to build trust — but once she bonds with you, she’ll be your ride-or-die companion. Dakota is dog selective and does best with slow introductions. While she’s non-reactive in the kennel and around fence-line neighbors, she can be leash-reactive, likely due to fear, so ongoing confidence-building and training will go a long way for her. This girl has energy to spare! She’ll thrive in a home with a fenced yard, where she can zoom around safely and play. Because of her fearfulness, we’re recommending a home with teenagers or older who understand how to respect a dog’s space and needs. She’s not the kind of dog who gives her heart to just anyone — but if you earn her trust, you’ll have it forever. Adoption donation is $395 cash, $420 credit, debit or Venmo. Greenmore Rescue preforms the 4dx blood test on ALL of our adult dogs FREE OF CHARGE to adopters! This blood test checks for diseases such as Lyme and Heartworm Disease that are transmitted to dogs from a tic or mosquito bite. If the dog you are interested in tests positive for any of these conditions, treatment will already have been started or completed. Your Adoption Counselor will review any findings with you and we will provide all medical records, along with any medication the dog may need at the time of adoption.
