My story

Meet Wagnor - Duke of Velcro Cuddle Conqueror Greetings, traveler. I am Waggoner. Level 3 yrs Good Boy. Strength: Medium. Charisma: Unreasonably High. Self-awareness: Limited. I am approximately 25 pounds of teenage boy energy, questionable choices, big feelings, and an intense desire to impress women. I am what experts call a Lover Boy™, but in a slightly awkward, dorky, “did that work?” kind of way. Attachment Style: Velcro I follow my human everywhere like it’s my assigned quest. If you stand up, I stand up. If you sit down, I sit down. If you breathe… I’m already there. I take my job as Personal Shadow very seriously and would prefer to be involved in all household activities at all times. Confidence Building Arc Sometimes I’m unsure about the world because life didn’t always make sense to me, but every single day I gain more bravery and more personality. The more I trust you, the weirder I get — which is actually my best feature. When I’m excited, I jump straight up like I’m powered by invisible pogo sticks. We’re working on calm. We are not good at calm. But we are excellent at enthusiasm. Party System Required (Dog Social Life) I REQUIRE a dog sibling. Capital letters. Mandatory quest item. I am submissive, gentle, and I don’t resource guard. I share toys, space, snacks, and emotional support freely. Other dogs make me feel safe, brave, and slightly cooler than I actually am. Currently best friends with a pug and even tolerated by a very picky Frenchton, which basically means I have excellent references. Special Skills & Hobbies Toy redistribution engineer. Professional shadow. Snack enthusiast. Couch warmer. Interior decorator. Practitioner of seductive eye contact that mostly just looks confused. I am extremely food motivated, which means I am smart, trainable, and willing to sell my soul for treats. I am accepting resumes for a Full-Time Cuddle Partner and Co-Applicant for Couch Potato Life. Potty Training: The Training Arc I’m doing pretty dang good. I’ve only had a few daytime accidents, mostly because I don’t always know how to tell you I need to go out yet, so my humans keep me on a schedule. At night I’ve had some crate accidents even after going outside. Could be anxiety. Could be bladder strength. Could be teenage rebellion. I currently wear a belly band at night like a very fashionable gentleman. Once I’m fully healed and out of my donut, we’re starting dog door training. I’m food motivated, so success is inevitable. Medical Glow-Up (Patch Notes) I had entropion surgery on both of my eyes and healed beautifully. My bite wound on my leg also looks great. Vision restored. Glow-up activated. I feel good, I see clearly, and I’m ready to show off my new and improved face to the ladies. My Dream Campaign I’m looking for a home with a dog sibling, structure, patience, and a whole lot of love. I’m not aggressive. I don’t guard. I’m soft, sweet, gentle, and just a slightly dorky teenage boy in a squishy dog body who wants stability, safety, and a forever party system. Once I know I’m safe, I will love you with my entire squishy face and follow you everywhere for the rest of your life (especially to the kitchen). Apply to adopt me at freedomfrenchierescue.org 🖤🐾 Wagnor is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adoption donation fee is $1100.00 and he is being fostered in Mesa, AZ. *Please Note: All learning and guidance must continue in their new home. A dog’s behavior can change with a new environment and energy, and every family’s dynamic is different. What works or is allowed in one foster home may not be the same in yours, so consistency, patience, and continued training are key to their success.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Wagnor, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
