She enjoys human companionship and often approaches first to ask for pets. 👩 With women: Excellent — friendly and trusting 👨 With men: Very good — no fear; at a short-term foster home, she bonded most closely with the dad 👶 With kids: Excellent — does well with kindergarten- and elementary-age children; allows handling and walks calmly even when a child holds the leash 🐶 With dogs: On walks, she may feel nervous around unfamiliar dogs and prefer to turn back if they approach. However, with dogs she lives with, she adjusts over time and coexists peacefully. 🐱 With cats: No direct experience yet. She may be slightly cautious at first. --- 🏠 Energy Level & Lifestyle Haneui has a low energy level and enjoys a calm, relaxed routine. She often comes over on her own asking to be petted and enjoys close contact with her people. --- 🔊 Barking Tendencies She may bark briefly when: Other animals nearby bark The doorbell rings A stranger first enters the home Once she adjusts, she stops barking and often approaches visitors calmly. Aside from these situations, she is generally very quiet. --- 🍽 Food & Health Notes Medical history: Heartworm (treated), past pancreatitis Diet: Must eat a pancreatitis-friendly prescription diet Treats: Limited — snack restriction required Appetite: Strong food motivation When other animals are present, she may eat quickly or guard food → Separated feeding is recommended She may pick up dropped human food, so supervision is needed --- 🐕 Leash Walking & Travel ✔ Walks very well with a collar and leash ✔ Rides well in cars (may pant slightly but remains calm) --- 🚪 Escape Tendencies Low overall risk, but in frightening situations, caution is advised and secure handling is recommended. --- 🧸 Destructive Behavior Rare when alone.
