My story

Meet Fealine 🤎 Fealine is approximately 1–1.5 years old and weighs about 16 lbs of short, stocky, big-eared personality. She may have “chihuahua” in her paperwork, but she is absolutely not your average lap dog — this girl is built for adventure, curiosity, and keeping life interesting. Fealine most likely spent much of her early life surviving on the streets before landing in a high-kill shelter and making her way to safety. Because of that, she’s still learning how to fully trust humans — but wow, does she learn fast. Within just a couple of days in foster, she was putting her paws up for attention, asking to be picked up, and happily snuggling her people (yes, she sleeps in the bed 🥰). She can be timid when first meeting new people. She may run away or give a little cry if grabbed too quickly. She is never aggressive — she just needs a moment to feel safe. Give her a day or two to acclimate, and you’ll see her quirky, expressive, hilarious personality shine. She truly wears every thought on her face — total “Insta dog” energy. Fealine is: ✔️ House trained (learned fast!) ✔️ Great recall at the farm ✔️ Good when left alone ✔️ Great with another dog ✔️ Has been exposed to many people She will bark at strangers but is easily redirected. She can be dominant with some dogs, so proper introductions matter. She does have a little herder streak and may nip at heels when excited — just another hint that she’s a working-brain girl who needs stimulation and purpose. Leash walking is still a work in progress. A securely fenced yard would be ideal, but if not, she needs a dog-savvy adopter committed to proper harnessing and patient training while she builds confidence. Once bonded, she walks well — she just needs time. Foster suspects she’ll make an incredible off-leash adventure buddy one day. She’s curious. Active. Funny. A little weird. And an all-around great dog. Fealine doesn’t need perfection — she needs someone willing to give her a chance.
