My story

Gemma will be 5 years old on 3/17/2026. She has been with our family since she was 8 weeks old. She is one of the sweetest girls and will make the best cuddle buddy once she's warmed up to you. Gemma is pretty shy and timid, but once she gets to know you, she's got such a fun personality. She does have some anxiety that comes with loud noises (storms, fireworks), but as long as she can be close to you, it's usually managed fairly well. While she is okay on a leash, she is used to having a fenced in yard to roam around in, so we would like her new home to have something similar. She has been an apartment dog before and has done well with that, so we're not excluding that as an option. She's always had fur siblings around, so being an only-dog isn't a requirement, but we think she would do excellent either way. She's never been around cats before, but she is pretty timid, so it's likely she would just be a little shy around them.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gemma, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
