My story

 QUICK FACTS  Name: Sophie Age: Born 2025 March (Around 10 months) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo mix (potentially with a Malinois) Color: Black, light brown Weight: 13.5kg / 30lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  My mama was roaming the mountains, doing her best to keep us safe, and I was one of the puppies by her side. Luckily, kind rescuers spotted us just in time and brought us to safety. Now that I’m safe and growing up with love, I’m ready to find my forever family!    MY HEALTH  • Spayed & healthy with no known health issues • All vaccinations up-to-date    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a bright, charming girl with a soft brown coat and beautiful black markings that volunteers and staff often compliment. I still act like a baby at heart and get along wonderfully with my dog friends. Once I warm up to you, I love showing my silly, affectionate side and sharing lots of love.    MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but I happily accept gentle pets and will take treats from your hand. With a bit of time and patience, my goofy and affectionate personality starts to shine. I’m okay being picked up, though I prefer to build trust first (which is only fair!). Once I feel comfortable with you, I enjoy snuggles and being held close. · With Dogs: I absolutely love playing with my friends—playtime is my favorite part of the day! I’m very friendly and social with other dogs, and I’m most comfortable playing with pups around my size. I can get a little enthusiastic and play a bit rough at times, so I do best with structured playtimes and proper introductions to help everyone have fun and stay safe. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best fit. On walks, when I spot a cat, I may look with curiosity but quickly turn my attention back to my handler.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a medium to high energy level and, as a young pup, I truly act like one! I love running around and exploring the world around me. With plenty of mental and physical enrichment—both outdoors and indoors—I settle down nicely and enjoy relaxing time at home.    TRAINING & HABITS  I’m still learning my leash manners, but I truly enjoy exploring the world one sniff at a time. I’m a thoughtful, careful girl who likes to take things in at my own pace. I do best in quieter areas, as busy streets and cars can feel a little scary right now—but I’m learning more every day. I don’t guard my food with people or dogs, and I’m generally a quiet pup, though I may give a small attention bark when I want something. I’m comfortable pottying both indoors (using a pee pad) and outdoors. I’m also getting used to car rides and may experience some motion sickness, which I continue to work through with patience and practice.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m looking for a patient and committed family who understands puppy development and is ready to guide me as I grow. I would thrive in a home with: • A family prepared for puppy training and ongoing guidance • A calm, structured environment with clear routines • Adopters who enjoy an affectionate, people-oriented companion • A family that will cherish me with love & accept me as their forever family member.     SPECIAL NOTES  I’m still a young girl learning about the world, and I have so much wonderful potential waiting to shine.
