 QUICK FACTS  Name: Yuzu Age: 5 years old Gender: Female (Spayed)  Breed: Terrier / Sabsal mix  Color: Beige Weight: 20kg / 44lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was rescued and once thought I found my forever home in San Francisco. While that didn’t work out, it just means I’m still searching for the right forever family who truly understands me.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Spayed & healthy  • Received hip dysplasia surgery    MY PERSONALITY  I’m a calm, mellow girl who may be a little shy at first, but I blossom beautifully with gentle words, patience, and a few tasty treats. Once I feel safe and comfortable, my sweet personality shines through, and I love quietly soaking up affection and companionship. I’m the kind of girl who forms deep bonds and makes a wonderful, loving presence by your side.     MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: Initially shy, but I’ll happily take treats from your hand and greet you. With gentle pets and a calm approach, I quickly warm up and show my sweet, trusting side. · With Dogs: I can get a little jealous when other dogs are getting all the attention, which just shows how much I love my people! Because of this, I’ll do best as the only dog at home where I can soak up all the love. I’m generally indifferent toward other dogs and truly a people-loving pup at heart who thrives on human companionship. · With Cats: I’ll do best in a home without small animals, as my instincts kick in on walks and I can’t resist wanting to chase them.    ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have a low energy level and am perfectly happy with two relaxed walks a day. Once indoors, I love nothing more than lounging around as a cozy couch potato. I’ll thrive in a calm home that matches my mellow, easygoing vibe.    TRAINING & HABITS  I walk nicely on leash and do a great job following my handler’s lead. I may get a little excited if I spot cats or squirrels, but otherwise I’m calm and gentle on walks. New outdoor environments can feel a bit scary for me, so I’ll thrive with patience, treats, and gentle encouragement as I build confidence. Starting with short, positive walks and slowly increasing distance helps me feel safe and supported as I learn the world isn’t so scary after all. I’m a quiet, well-mannered pup who rarely barks and is fully house-trained. I also do well on car rides—my foster family uses a kennel for safety. I can be a bit eager to hop out when the door opens, so keeping an eye on me helps make sure I stay safe. Overall, I’m a sweet, easygoing companion who just needs a little reassurance and love.  MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. Moderate exercise and positive reinforcement help them gain confidence, and they enjoy both outdoor adventures and cozy indoor downtime.
