My story

This handsome boy is bursting with energy and joy. He loves to play, whether it's chasing a ball, going on adventures, or romping around the yard, and he brings enthusiasm to everything he does. When playtime is over, he's all about the cuddles, happily curling up close for snuggles and affection. Sweet, playful, and full of personality, he's the perfect mix of fun-loving goofball and loving companion, ready to fill your days with laughter and your heart with love. Texas doesn't know how strong he is and can be a bit jumpy when he's excited to see his favorite humans, so he would probably be best in a home with older children. He loves running around the yard chasing toys as much as he loves a good cuddle, the best of both worlds! He does get easily excited when meeting new friends, so slow intros with resident dogs should be considered. He is potty trained and uses a dog door when he needs to go. He knows sit and lay down, but he would benefit from extra training on a leash (he somewhat pulls but is manageable). Texas was on the euthanasia list at the county shelter for an upper respiratory infection. He is doing so much better in his foster home. Unfortunately, the resident dog does not enjoy having Texas in her home causing a problem. Both are currently separated, but the situation is not ideal for the foster or the dogs.
