My story

*Note: Currently, Cone is in a foster home in Toronto waiting for her forever family. Background Cone was rescued from a puppy mill this past summer and is one of the lucky ones who made it out. She spent her time in Korea living peacefully with other small dogs at our partner boarding house. Now she is in a foster home in Toronto, waiting for her forever family. Personality & Socialization Cone has a gentle, sweet nature and a medium energy level. She feels happiest around other small dogs and enjoys their company. Around strangers, she is generally social. She may be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and shows her gentle, friendly nature. With people she trusts, she is affectionate. She does not have experience with cats or young children. Behaviours Cone is still learning about the world and looks to other dogs for confidence and guidance. She learns by watching and following them, so a home with another calm, friendly dog would help her settle in more easily. She is quiet, sweet, and submissive, and enjoys resting in a cozy, peaceful space when she needs a break. She has shown no destructive behavior. Leash walks and car rides are still new and can feel nervous, but with time and support she will continue to build confidence. Health & Diet Cone has received a full veterinary checkup and is healthy. During the visit, she also had her teeth cleaned. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is dewormed and receives monthly parasite prevention. She eats twice a day. Ideal Home Cone needs a calm, patient family with another friendly small dog she can learn from and feel secure with. A home where someone is around during the day would be ideal, as she is still adjusting to new experiences. With love, patience, and gentle guidance, Cone will blossom into a wonderful companion.
