My story

DOB: June 12, 2014 Helene is the kind of cat who surprises you in the best possible way—behind her famously unimpressed expression is one of the gentlest, sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. After what was likely a very hard life, she is finally enjoying her senior years the way she deserves: wrapped in warmth, comfort, good food, and the love of kind humans. She’s an incredibly polite girl who rarely meows and prefers quiet companionship. Helene loves settling beside you on the sofa, curling into your arm, or tucking herself near your head while you sleep. She’s wonderful with other cats, happily curling up with them and offering gentle grooming. Because Helene has a submissive nature, she does best with friendly, non dominant companions who won’t overwhelm her. She spends her days napping, observing her people, and keeping peaceful watch over her home. Even in her golden years, Helene still has a playful spark. She enjoys wand toys, crinkly toys, and occasionally gets adorable zoomies that show off her youthful spirit. Her soulful eyes, soft hand kisses, and relaxed tummy rolls make her impossible not to love. Helene takes a daily steroid pill to manage her asthma, which keeps her comfortable and breathing well. A future adopter may consider adding a puffer if recommended by a vet, but she handles her current routine beautifully. She’s fully litter trained, uses her scratching post instead of furniture, and is wonderfully gentle with both kittens and older cats. She has even been kind and patient with a young child in her foster home. Helene is a true sweetheart who has weathered life with grace and is ready to spend her remaining years surrounded by love. Whoever welcomes her into their home will be gaining a tender, loyal companion who gives far more than she asks for. Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $250.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Helene, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
