My story

DOB: October 15, 2010 Pippa is a true grand dame—an old queen who carries herself with quiet confidence and a regal calm that instantly brings peace to any home. She’s deeply content in her golden years, happiest when she’s napping, snacking, and shaping the household routine to suit her royal preferences. She enjoys her independence but also loves settling beside you for gentle belly rubs, and if you offer a wand toy or laser pointer, she’ll grace you with a few playful swats before returning to her throne. Her nickname, “the queen,” fits her perfectly. She has a dignified little strut and a personality all her own. Her days follow a comforting rhythm: a trip to the washroom, a scratch on her pad, a sip of water, and then back to bed. She adores belly and neck scratches and knows exactly how to ask for them. Pippa recently lost her lifelong companion—her brother of fifteen years—and faced her grief with remarkable strength. With time, patience, and extra love, she has begun to emerge from her mourning and is embracing life again as a solo queen, ready to bond with a human who will cherish her gentle spirit. She’s currently on probiotics to help her tummy recover after her appetite dipped during her loss, and she’s responding well. What she wants most now is a calm, loving home where she can relax, nap, and enjoy the simple comforts of companionship. If you’re looking for low maintenance, peaceful company from a cat who has weathered life with grace, Pippa is your girl. She has lived a long, full life, adapted to every change with quiet resilience, and is ready to spend her remaining years curled up contentedly by your side. Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated, vs. our standard adult cat adoption fee of $250.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pippa, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
