My story

QUICK FACTS Name: White Age: 3 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: White Terrier Mix Color: White Weight: 11kg /24 lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I spent a year in an underground shelter in Yangsan City.A place where dogs were quietly euthanized without any notice. One day, while they were there to rescue another dog, I was seen by chance. They thought I was beautiful and couldn’t leave me behind, and that’s how I was rescued.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues     MY PERSONALITY Hi! I’m a little shy at first, so it might take me a few days to feel comfy with new people. I’m a bit sensitive, but I’m super sweet and gentle once I trust you. Sometimes I bark if I’m feeling nervous, but don’t worry and I warm up quickly! I’m a level 3 rescue pup, and I’m getting ready to go to a foster home soon. Can’t wait to make some new friends!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but I will take treats from you. I prefer to be touched only after we get to know each other better. I have no experience interacting with children under 13 years old, and I can be safely lifted by placing an arm under my belly and holding me securely. · With Dogs: I will approach unfamiliar dogs to say hello, but I don’t usually play with them. I am generally friendly toward dogs that are bigger than me, and even if another dog tries to provoke me, I tend to avoid conflict and walk away. · With Cats: My reaction to cats has not been observed yet.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level and enjoy outdoor activities, but I usually settle down and rest calmly afterward. I tend to pull on the leash, but overall I follow my handler well.   TRAINING & HABITS I do not guard my food from people or other dogs. I may show demand barking when I want something. I bark when I see strangers, but I remain calm and well-behaved when placed in a kennel. MY IDEAL HOME I would do best in a calm and patient home where I’m given a little time to warm up and feel safe. A family who understands that I might be shy at first, but who will shower me with gentle love and attention, would be perfect. I’d love a home with a secure yard where I can explore and play safely, and someone who can help me feel confident around new sounds and experiences. I get along well with other dogs, so a furry friend could be a bonus, but a peaceful, understanding environment is what I need most to truly thrive.   SPECIAL NOTES When I was first rescued from the Yangsan shelter, I was wearing a leash, and they told the rescuers that dogs like me got to go out to the yard and play, which meant I had a good temperament. At first, though, I would run away for months after arriving, and if someone tried to touch me, I would turn my head away. Over time, I began to warm up, and now I follow staff around, ask to be petted, and can be quite affectionate. I am the type that takes some time to fully trust people. I tend to join in barking if I hear noises nearby or other dogs barking in the distance. Indoors, I rarely bark, but I react to outside sounds when I’m in the yard. I get along well with other dogs, though I’m not very good at fighting, so I can sometimes get hurt if a scuffle breaks out — you could say I’m a “peaceful” type. If you give me a little time to get close, I have the potential to become a truly loving and devoted companion.   White's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2613404##
