My story

Matcha is a recent rescue from outdoors but he`s already well on his way to being a velcro lap cat. He`s a bit skittish with new people but once he decides he trusts you he`s very determined about getting your attention. He will climb into your lap and wiggle himself into whatever space and shape is required to get petted (even fully upside down for belly rubs--his white underside fur is SO SOFT) and won`t let you forget to keep petting. He sometimes bites gently for attention but is taking well to being redirected on that and never breaks skin or bites to harm. He would probably thrive in a home with multiple people or someone who was home a lot of the time, so he could get his attention needs met more consistently. He will play a little with a wand toy and independently with balls (and socks)--and then the balls and socks will disappear under furniture and into dark corners (I guess those are his socks now). He`s tolerant of nail trims. He has not been tested with children but likely could be placed with older children who know to be patient with animals and won`t startle if he bites gently. Until his biting habit is resolved he may not be a good fit for younger children.Matcha would do well with a friendly buddy cat in the home, but is also suitable to be a solo cat provided that he gets all the love and attention he desires! Like all ACR cats, Matcha is up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites. Matcha eats a vet prescribed food - without it his stools are quite liquid but with it they are normal.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Matcha, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
