He adores people and truly shines when he’s spending time with his humans. Eager to please and enthusiastic about learning, Parker enjoys training and is always happy to show off new skills. His playful spirit, gentle nature, and joyful personality make him a wonderful companion. Parker is ready to bring laughter, love, and loyalty to a forever home.IN-SHELTER NOTES & IDEAL HOMESIZE:53 lbs.HOME TYPE:House or Townhouse preferredCHILDREN:No - Due to resource guardingCATS & SMALL ANIMALS:NoOTHER DOGS:Yes - but adopters will need to monitor other dogs in the home with Parker especially around high value food items. Food should never be fed together between other dogs and Parker due to resource guarding.ACTIVITY/ENERGY LEVEL:High; will need a lot of daily exercise, enrichment and mental stimulation.HUMAN COMPATIBILTY:First time dog owner possible as long as they`re willing to work on difficult behaviours such as resource guarding.TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/NEEDS:Three in-person training to work on socialization, basic training and manners (such as jumping and mouthing), and resource guarding.HUMAN SOCIAL IN SHELTER:Parker is very human social and prefers to be around his favourite people as much as possible.FAVOURITE THINGS:Food, treats and his people!**For more information on any behaviours stated above, please check out our behaviour fact sheet: https://kwsphumane.ca/BehavioursandDefinitions**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets.
