My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Yangpa Age: 6 months old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo mix Color: White with brown spots Weight: 8.7kg / 19lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My mom was a brave stray, wandering the streets alone while trying to keep me and my siblings safe. Even with her infected skin, she did her best to feed and protect us. Thankfully, kind rescuers found us just in time and helped us heal. Now I’m healthy, happy, and ready to find my forever family who’ll love me as much as my mom did.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues Neutered   MY PERSONALITY I’m a sweet boy who loves people and gets along great with all my dog friends. I’ve got a big appetite and can never say no to treats! I’m eager to please and easy to train, especially when snacks are involved. I didn’t get much social experience before being rescued, but I’m a quick learner and adapt easily with a little love and patience.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a little shy with people because of my past, but I warm up quickly with gentle encouragement and treats. I don’t like being petted right away, but once I feel safe and comfortable, I love attention and cuddles. I’ll need a few days to adjust to a new home, but with patience and kindness, I’ll soon show you my loving side. · With Dogs: I like to lean on my dog friends for support and feel braver when I have a buddy by my side. I’d do best in a home with another confident dog sibling—it helps me open up faster and feel safe. I get along well with dogs of all sizes and enjoy their company. · With Cats: I’m not sure yet how I’ll react to cats. When I see them during my walks, I don’t pay much attention and stay focused on my human instead.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have lots of energy—typical puppy energy! I need to run, play, and burn off my zoomies before I’m ready to relax and snuggle indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t have much experience with leash walking yet, so I’ll need some guidance while I learn. Loud noises and sudden movements can scare me, and when that happens, I might try to run away. For my safety, it’s important to keep me double-leashed with a GPS tracker and always wearing my martingale collar when outside. I don’t guard my food from people or dogs, and I know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I can get car sick, so I’ll need some management for long trips. I potty both indoors and outdoors and am learning every day!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me grow and become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: Understanding of my past and is patient with me. With gentle guidance and lots of love, I can learn to feel more confident. Ideally a home with another dog sibling. Understanding of my puppy energy & that I need continued social training. Provide me with a fun, structured, and safe environment where I can learn, explore, and grow into a well-behaved young adult.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet, friendly pup who loves people and gets along with my dog friends. I am shy at first, but I’m curious and loving once I come out of my shell. I have a big appetite and adore treats, which makes me easy to train! I feel braver with confident dog friends and do best in calm, quiet spaces. I’m still learning about the world, including cats, loud noises, and leash walking, so I’ll need patience, guidance, and a safe setup when outside. With love and time, I’ll bloom into a happy, trusting, and loyal companion.   Yangpa's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2577933##
