My story

Hi there! My name is Abram, and I’m a 1 ½&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old Malinois mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I’ve been on quite the journey already, and now I’m ready to tell you my story in hopes that you might be the one to give me my forever home. My Journey So Far Back in April 2025, I found myself at the Yuma Humane Society. I was just a young pup then, full of energy and hope. I waited day after day, month after month, for someone to notice me. I tried my best to be cheerful, wagging my tail at every visitor, but somehow I kept being overlooked. Seven months went by, and I became one of the longest residents there. Things weren’t looking good, but I never gave up hope. Then, in November 2025, my luck changed! I got a ride to Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and wow—what a difference. Suddenly, I had new friends, new caretakers, and even a girlfriend! Yep, I share my kennel with a sweet pup, and we play all the time. Life feels brighter now, but I know the best part of my story hasn’t happened yet: finding my forever family. What You Should Know About Me I’m current on all my vaccinations, so I’m healthy and ready to go. I’ve been microchipped, so you’ll never lose track of me. I’ve been neutered, which means I’m all set for a responsible future. I absolutely love people—meeting new friends makes me so excited that I sometimes wiggle all over! I’m not sure how I feel about cats (I don’t even know if I’ve ever met one), so that’s a mystery we’ll have to solve together. I don’t know if I’ve ever lived in a house before, so I’ll probably need a little training in that department. But hey, I’m smart and eager to learn! I could use a refresher on my leash manners. I just get so thrilled to be outside that I sometimes forget to walk politely. With patience and practice, I’ll get the hang of it. What I’m Looking For Honestly, I don’t need much. A few toys to chew on, a comfy spot to sleep, and—most importantly—a family that loves me. That’s all I want. I dream of running around in a yard, cuddling on the couch, and being part of your everyday life. I want to be the dog who greets you at the door, who makes you laugh with my goofy antics, and who comforts you when you’ve had a tough day. I may have had a rough start, but I believe my future is bright. Every wag of my tail, every sparkle in my eyes, is me saying: “I’m ready for you. Are you ready for me?” Why You Should Choose Me There are lots of dogs out there, but I promise I’m special. I’ve already proven that I’m resilient, patient, and full of love. I waited seven months at the shelter without losing hope, and now I’m thriving at Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Imagine what I could do with a family of my own! I’ll be loyal, playful, and endlessly grateful. I’ll make you laugh when I zoom around the yard, and I’ll melt your heart when I curl up beside you. I’ll be your adventure buddy, your cuddle partner, and your best friend. How to Meet Me If you think we might be a match, I’d love to meet you! Please email mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment. Come spend some time with me—you’ll see how much joy I can bring into your life. My Promise I may be just a dog, but I promise to give you something priceless: unconditional love. I’ll be there for you every single day, through good times and bad. All I ask in return is a chance—a chance to be part of your family, to be your forever friend. So, what do you say? Let’s start our story together. I’m Abram, and I’m waiting for you.   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Do not e-mail us with a request to call you, if you have a question, please ask in the e-mail.   All dogs are adopted on a first come - first served basis.
