At West Valley Animal Rescue, we do things a bit differently. While many rescues take days to respond or never reply at all, we move fast. The application (link below) is the first step and helps us confirm that you and your household are a great fit. Once you submit it, text us right away. Black Velvet is the definition of gentle. She has a calm, loving presence that makes everyone around her relax. She’s friendly with other dogs, respectful of the cat, and absolutely adores kids—especially when they curl up on the couch with her. She’s making great progress with crate training and enjoys quiet moments after playtime. Her special gift? She seems to sense emotions—if you’re tired, she’ll snuggle close; if you’re happy, she’ll wag along with you. Black Velvet is the kind of dog that brings peace and warmth to any home lucky enough to have her. Black Velvet’s adoption donation includes her age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, spay, microchip, collar and leash. Apply below to adopt Black Velvet. We are a foster-based rescue with homes mainly in Goodyear and Buckeye. If approved, you’ll meet a volunteer or foster family at a local pet store we partner with or at a foster home for adoption.
