My story

Please say Hello and Welcome to Loretta!   Lorretta  is about a year old, weighs 23 pounds and looks like a giant dachshund!  Loretta is absolutely bursting with love, and is looking for a family to share that with. She is sweet, smart and funny, really a goofy, clumsy puppy at heart.   Lorretta is hoping to find a home with people who are home most of the time. She can be left alone, but would much prefer to be with her people. Loretta gets along with all dogs large or small. She is fully house trained using a doggie door, and is doing well at learning to walk on a leash.   Loretta does have a slight seizure disorder, but it is easily controlled on two pills a day. She has not had a seizure since being with us. Loretta would be an ideal family pet, or an excellent companion for someone who works from home or is retired .   Spayed, microchipped and vaccinated, Lorretta is ready to go. Lorretta is an easy fit for most homes. If you are looking for the perfect companion and have the  love in your heart to help a little dog in need,  please complete our online application at www.helpadogsmile.org and her foster mom will reach out to you.  Her adoption fee of $350 helps with medical expenses of the rescue.   *Please note that the application is not a commitment to adopt–it is a tool used to help determine if a dog and applicant would make a good match. Applications are forwarded to the foster family for review and follow-up .  October 29, 2025, 5:22 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Loretta, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
