My story

Meet Marvin – A Brave Tuxedo with a Big Heart and an Even Bigger Purr!  With his sleek black-and-white tuxedo coat, pale pink nose, and a perfect set of long white whiskers, Marvin is one dashing gentleman! This little guys has had a rough go of it and his tiny tail nub is a badge of resilience and survival. Rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control just in time, Marvin has already overcome so much, and he’s ready to start his next chapter: one filled with love, play, and cozy cuddles. When we first met Marvin, he was uncomfortable and battling infections, and underneath it all was an injury that required his tail to be removed. This injury left Marvin incontinent, meaning he’ll need a special human who can help keep him clean and healthy. But if you’re willing to meet his needs, he’ll repay you tenfold in love and devotion. Marvin is a people-loving, lap-hopping cuddle machine! This sweet boy has a playful streak too - especially when you bring out a wand toy or a laser pointer. He’ll chase, leap, and pounce with the enthusiasm of a kitten. During playtime his excitement sometimes leads to gentle nibbles and a bit of roughhousing, so adults and families with older children who understand kitty play styles would be the best match. Marvin has been in quarantine, so while he hasn’t lived with other pets yet, his friendly spirit suggests that with a slow introduction he could get along with other cats. But what Marvin needs most is someone who sees past his special needs and recognizes the joyful, affectionate, full-of-life cat he truly is. He’s already shown us how strong and loving he can be now he just needs someone to believe in his happily ever after.
