Tabitha "Tabby" is a 1-1/2 year old, 10 pound terrier mix. This little lady is a wonderful mix of sugar and spice, with a personality that’s as fun as it is lovable. She has just the right amount of sass to keep life exciting, but at her core, she’s a gentle, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than being close to her people. She likes to talk, LOVES to sleep with her person, claims her own rug and brings all her toys with her!  She’s playful, curious, and always ready for a good romp, especially if another friendly dog is involved. In fact, she’ll need to join a family that already has a playful pup at home, along with a secure fenced yard where the two of them can run, wrestle, and play chase to their hearts’ content. After the fun, though, she’s more than happy to curl up in your lap, soaking up cuddles and affection. She truly gives you the best of both worlds—energetic playmate and devoted snuggle buddy. At first, she can be shy with strangers, but give her a little time and patience, and you’ll watch her bloom into a happy, affectionate pup who is ready to shower you with love. With her playful spirit, cuddly nature, and eagerness to be your best friend, she’s a wonderful companion who will bring so much joy, laughter, and warmth into the lives of her forever family. She’s housebroken and walks nicely on leash, making daily strolls an easy and enjoyable part of her routine. Grooming, baths, and nail trims are no problem for her, and she takes it all in stride like a champ.  She’s had limited contact with children but has done well with the ones she’s met, so any children in the home should be older, gentle and respectful.  Cats are still an unknown. She does bark to alert when visitors arrive, but she’s making great progress with her training and is already learning to be calmer and more polite in those moments. When it comes to manners, she’s already showing her sweet nature. She doesn’t chew on furniture or scratch at doors, and she’s quick to learn with positive reinforcement—especially if tasty treats are involved. She’ll happily go into her kennel when asked, though she doesn’t need it to keep her out of trouble. And while she hasn’t mastered a long list of commands yet, her eagerness to please and food motivation make her a dream candidate for training. Her only “naughty” quirk is her enthusiasm for digging holes, but hey—every artist needs a creative outlet!
