**Note: Currently, Haetae is in Korea, but he will beflying to Toronto on Oct 27 upon adoption. ---------------------------- Background Haetae was rescued early this past summer. He was gentle, curious, and full of life despite his uncertain start. Since July, Haetae has been living at our boarding house with other rescue dogs. From the beginning, he has shown such a bright and loving spirit, one of those dogs who seems to find joy in everything around him. Every day, Haetae greets his caregivers and volunteers with happy tail wags and soft eyes that say “thank you.” It’s hard to believe such a sweet boy once waited behind shelter bars, but now he’s ready to begin the happiest chapter of his life. Personality & Socialization Haetae is a lovely boy. From the start, he’s been affectionate, friendly, and full of love. He doesn’t hesitate to approach new people with trust and warmth, no shyness, no hesitation, just pure happiness. Volunteers adore him for his sweet nature and soft, joyful energy. He has a medium energy level and enjoys playtime, especially with dogs close to his size. He gets along beautifully with other friendly dogs, both small and large, as long as they are gentle and not too dominant or hyper. Haetae thrives in a calm, kind environment where everyone gets along. When it comes to people, he’s a total sweetheart, comfortable with both men and women, and welcoming even to strangers. There’s something about Haetae that draws people in; his soft, trusting nature just shines through. Behaviours Haetae is a well-mannered and easygoing boy. He’s generally quiet and doesn’t bark excessively, which makes him a peaceful companion. While he hasn’t been left alone much yet, he’s still young and may need some guidance adjusting to being on his own. His adopters should be prepared to help him through that transition patiently, just in case a little separation anxiety appears. He hasn’t shown any destructive behaviors and does most of his potty business outside, though he will use an indoor pee pad if needed. He’s also very good during bath time, car rides, and vet visits. Leash walks are still new to him, but he’s eager to learn. With gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, Haetae will soon become a confident walking buddy. Health & Diet Haetae is in great health. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and takes his monthly parasite preventatives. There are no known health issues or allergies. He eats dry food twice a day and isn’t a picky eater. His appetite is good, his coat is shiny, and he’s an all-around healthy, happy young pup ready to start his new life. Ideal Home Haetae would do best with a family who can spend plenty of time with him, especially since he’s still young and learning about the world. A home where someone is around most of the day would be ideal. He would love to have another gentle, friendly dog companion to play with and learn from. It would help him feel secure and keep his playful side shining. With his mellow, affectionate nature, Haetae will make a wonderful addition to a kind and loving home. He’s a lucky boy and whoever welcomes him home will be just as lucky to have him. ----------------------------- For more info about Haetae, or the adoption applicaiton, please follwo the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/haetae/
