My story

Hi, I’m Zeke! 🐾 I’m about 2 years old, weigh 19kg (about 42 lbs), and I'm a medium-sized, neutered boy. I was rescued from a kill shelter just in time, and now I'm looking for a forever home to share my love and loyalty with. Let me tell you a little about myself. 💛 My Personality I’m a gentle soul who absolutely loves people — grown-ups and kids alike. Even if we’ve just met, I’ll come say hi with a wagging tail and soft eyes. And if we see each other a few more times? Get ready for cuddles and kisses! I don’t take long to warm up at all. I’m calm, kind, and really well-mannered at home. I don’t chew things, I don’t bark unnecessarily, and I’ve never had an accident indoors. I’m also totally fine being alone — I’ll just nap or rest quietly until you come back. No separation anxiety here! Sometimes I can be a little cautious with sudden loud noises, big gestures, or dark, unfamiliar paths at night — but I never react aggressively. I just need a little reassurance from you, and I’ll be okay. 🐶 With Other Dogs I get along well with other dogs, especially those around my size or bigger. I’m polite and friendly, though if another dog rushes up to me too suddenly, I might take a step back. I’ve never shown any aggression — I’m more of a peacekeeper than a fighter. I haven’t lived with other dogs before, but I’m not jealous and I think I’d adjust just fine in a multi-dog home. Cats? I’m not sure yet — we haven’t officially met. 🚶‍♂️ My Favorite Time? Walk Time! I love walks. Just the sound of the leash gets me excited! I wear my harness and leash calmly, and I usually do my potty business early on during the walk. After that, I walk at your pace, enjoying the sights and smells. I don’t overreact when I see other dogs — just a polite sniff and we move on. Loud noises, banners flapping, or cars passing by don’t bother me much. Sometimes I get a little excited if I see a cat or a bird, but if you ask me to leave it, I listen well. 🍽️ Food & Health I have a pretty sensitive stomach, so I prefer small-kibble food and do best with limited-ingredient snacks (no issues so far with treats made from beef). I don’t beg or rush for food — I wait my turn like a true gentleman. I also take my meds like a pro, even things like Nexgard, which I take like a treat. I had a small scratch on my forehead from when I was rescued, and sometimes I scratch my skin (maybe something in the environment or diet), so I wear a cone during walks just to be safe. But overall, I’m healthy, strong, and always up for a good sniff around the neighborhood! 💤 At Home At home, I’m calm and peaceful. I sleep through the night in my own space and never make a fuss. If you’re not around, I’ll wait patiently and won’t destroy anything. I’ve even gotten compliments at the vet for being such a good boy during check-ups! If you're looking for a loving, calm, independent, and well-behaved companion, I might just be the one. I’m ready to share my heart with a family who will love me back and give me the life I’ve always dreamed of. Could that be you? 🐶💛 Love, Zeke
