My story

Meet River!!! River came to us when she was found as a stray in Detroit. Her finder didn't want to take her to the overcrowded city shelter where she could have been euthanized due to space, so they reached out to us for help. River was in horrible shape when she was found. You could pretty much see every bone in her body :( But don't worry those days are behind he! Now that she is gaining weight, spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped she is ready to find her FUREVER family. We estimate River to be approx. 2 years old and she currently weighs 28 lbs. We will continue to put weight on her until she reaches a healthy weight. River is potty trained and crate trained. She is a smart girl that has already mastered SIT and knows RELEASE ques before she starts eating her meals. Her foster parents are working with her on her leash manners too! We feel she would thrive in a basic obedience class, as she is eager to learn. River is dog and kid friendly although she does display some puppy mouthing behavior, but can quickly be redirected. So if you are interested in adding this sweet girl to your family, APPLY TODAY!!! * 2 years old * 28 lbs. of cuteness * Spayed & UTD on vaccines * Potty and Crate Trained * Dog, Cat and Kid Friendly * Medium energy (Requires daily exercise) Application: https://peaceloveandpawsrescue.com/adopt%2Ffoster-application

If you have any questions or would like to adopt River, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
