My story

Meet Kitchi: The One-Legged Wonder Looking for His Forever Home Born with a congenital defect that left one of his legs undeveloped, Kitchi faced his first challenge with quiet courage. He excelled at hopping and got around well, and his little wing did not slow him down. After an inadvised attempt at flying (he jumped off a really tall bed) he fractured the "wing" and this resulted in a need for amputation. After the successful amputation, he’s now a proud tripod — and he’s never looked back. His spirit is unbreakable, his tail wags like a metronome of joy, and his heart is as big as his dreams. Kitchi is playful, affectionate, and endlessly curious and full of BIG dog personality. He gets along with other dogs and cats and adores humans. He is house-trained (uses a pet door) and loves cozy corners and sunny spots Kitchi doesn’t see himself as “different” — and neither should you. He runs, he plays, he cuddles, and he loves with every ounce of his being. His missing leg doesn’t slow him down; it just makes his story more inspiring. What Kitchi Needs: A home that celebrates uniqueness. A family that sees beauty in resilience. Someone who’s ready to be loved fiercely by a dog who’s already conquered the odds.
