My story

Blackie has had quite the life. Rescued as a young stray in 2013 in Florida he survived a terrible eye infection that has left him blind. Somewhere during that time he sustained an injury to one of his feet. It's all healed but he does walk a little funny on it. He later traveled with his mom to Birmingham, along with a new friend, Velvet. Recently his mom fell into poor health and could not keep them any longer. Blackie may be blind but he does not let that faze him. Their foster mom says he is one of the sweetest boys, both of them are. They are humble and affectionate and just want a safe, loving home to enjoy their golden years.
