My story

ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Windy Age: 1 year 3 months Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo, Shepard mix Colour: Brown, Black Weight: 14kg / 31lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! My name is Windy, and I’m a very special boy with an incredible story of survival. I was rescued alongside my friends Mountain, Audrey, and Flower from an illegal dog meat farm, just moments away from a heartbreaking fate.   Even though I’m still so young, I’ve already faced challenges that no dog should ever have to endure. But here’s the amazing part—I never let those hardships dim my light or take away the spark in my heart! I’m full of love, joy, and curiosity, and I can’t wait to find my forever family to share all my cuddles, playful moments, and endless affection with. Every day is a new adventure for me, and with the right family, I know I’ll thrive and continue spreading happiness wherever I go.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a sweet, shy, and gentle boy with a heart full of love! I adore playing with my dog friends and am open to making new human friends too. I may be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for me to warm up and show my affectionate side. Because of my difficult early life, my back legs are a little bent, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying playtime and exploring the world. I especially love playing with toys and having fun with those I trust.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I may be a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—I warm up quickly! With a gentle treat or kind word, I’ll start to trust you, and soon enough, I’ll be happily accepting pets and affection. It’s truly amazing that I still love people despite the challenges I’ve faced. You can easily pick me up, and once I feel safe, I’ll roll over to show my belly as a sign of trust and love. With a little patience, you’ll see just how sweet and affectionate I can be! With Dogs:  While I might be a little shy with people at first, I’m a social butterfly with my dog friends! I absolutely love playing and making new furry friends. I generally get along best with dogs my size or smaller and enjoy relying on my dog friends for comfort and companionship. I would thrive in a home with another dog sibling I can bond with and lean on. Even if another dog is being pushy or rude, I stay calm and avoid conflict—peaceful and playful is my style! With Cats:  I don’t have experience with cats yet so my reaction is unknown.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate to high energy level. I need regular playtime and exercise to burn off my energy, and once I’ve had my fun, I’m more than happy to snuggle up indoors and relax by your side.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk nicely on leash and love following my handler’s lead, though I can get excited and pull toward things that catch my attention. I do best in quieter areas but still need a little help building confidence on busier streets, as loud car noises can startle me. For my safety, it’s best if I’m double-leashed to both a harness and collar during walks.   I don’t guard my food against people or other dogs and am very easygoing during mealtimes. I rarely bark, though I will let you know when I want attention. I’m still learning to settle calmly in my kennel and may whine a little at first, but I adjust with time. I know how to potty both indoors and outdoors, and with a consistent routine, I prefer to do my business outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me grow and become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a fun, structured, and safe environment where I can learn, explore, and grow into a well-behaved young adult. A family that enjoys outdoor activities and spending quality time together. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family that understands my past and willing to be patient as I learn to become more confident of the world. Ideally a home with another dog sibling – but not an absolute requirement.     SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff often say it doesn’t take long for me to become friends with you—I open up so quickly, especially with treats, toys, and a little kindness. I absolutely adore playing with my toys and spending time with my dog friends, and I love showing my gentle, affectionate side to people once I feel safe. I’ve faced challenges that no pup should ever have to endure, but I’ve never let them dim the spark in my heart. I’m a sweet, shy, and loving boy who is ready to leave the past behind and find a forever family to call my own. With patience, love, and cuddles, I’ll be your loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, filling your home with joy and heartwarming moments. For More YouTube Clips, Click Below!
