My story

Quick Facts  Name: Youngwoong Age: 7 months old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 11 kg / 24.2 lbs Height (at the shoulder): 45 cm Microchipped, Vaccinated & Dewormed   Rescue Story Youngwoong was found injured deep in the mountains of Namyangju, with wounds on his face and body that appeared to be from another adult dog. When he was found, the injuries were severe ¾ infested with maggots and so deep that parts of his flesh were exposed. Despite the pain and hardship he endured, Youngwoong showed an incredible spirit and a deep love for people from the very beginning. Now healed and safe, he is ready to leave his difficult past behind and find a forever family who will cherish him!    Personality Youngwoong is an affectionate and people-loving puppy who seeks closeness and comfort from humans. He happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, leaning in for affection and even showing his belly to strangers. He enjoys being held and cuddled, and although he hasn’t lived with young children, his gentle and trusting nature suggests he could do well with them given proper introductions. Bright and quick to learn, he is eager to please and thrives on human attention. With his playful energy, soft fur, and sweet personality, Youngwoong is as charming as he is loving.     Social Skills With Other Dogs: He shows friendliness toward lager dogs and can enjoy playing with dog companions, but he also has a jealous side, especially when it comes to food, toys, or his favorite people. This can sometimes leads to conflict, so he would be happiest as the only dog in his forever home. He may need guidance with reactivity and jealousy, but with his intelligence and responsiveness, he has great potential to grow into a well-mannered companion with consistent training. With Cats: He becomes very excited when seeing cats during walks and tries to chase them, likely due to his reactive tendencies. For this reason, a cat-free home would be the best fit for him.   Walking & Outdoor Behavior Has a high energy level and needs plenty of outdoor exercise to relax calmly afterward. Tends to pull on the leash but is generally responsive to his handler. May need leash training.   Training & Habits House-trained: uses both indoor pee pads and outdoor bathroom breaks, though may mark in new places. Calm and comfortable in a kennel. May show demand barking when he wants something. May develop separation anxiety, so ongoing training and gradual independence will be important. No guarding behavior toward people, though he may guard food or toys from other dogs. Very smart and quick to learn which makes him very trainable with patience and consistency.   Ideal Home Active Lifestyle: With his high energy level, he needs a family who can provide regular walks, playtime, and outdoor adventures to keep him happy and balanced. Only Dog Household: Youngwoong can be jealous around other dogs, especially with food, toys, or when seeking human attention. He would thrive as the only dog, where he can enjoy undivided love and care. Loving and Patient Family: His trusting and gentle nature means he bonds easily with people. He would thrive in a home where he receives affection, companionship, and positive guidance. A family willing to continue his training, especially for leash walking, reactivity management, and separation anxiety prevention will help him reach his full potential. Safe and Comfortable Home: He needs a household that can provide a secure and nurturing environment where he feels protected, cared for, and truly part of the family.   Rescued after a difficult start in the mountains of Namyangju, Youngwoong has proven to be a resilient, affectionate, and people-loving puppy. He adores human contract, loves cuddles, and greets everyone with trust and warmth. While he may show jealousy toward other dogs and excitement around cats, his intelligence and eagerness to learn make him highly trainable with the right guidance. With his playful energy, soft fur, and sweet personality, Youngwoong is ready to bring joy, love, and companionship to a forever home that can offer him patience, care, and the chance to grow into the wonderful companion he is meant to be!
