My story

If you’re looking for a shotgun rider for the long haul, pull the truck around and meet Rooster! This silly, happy hound is ready to be the rhythm to your favorite song and the best friend you’ve ever had. 🐾 The Best Kind of Co-Pilot Rooster isn't just a dog; he’s a lifestyle. He’s got a heart as big as the South and enough personality to fill a stadium. Whether you’re headed to the kitchen or out for a stroll, Rooster wants to be right there in the passenger seat of your life. Social Butterfly: He’s a friend to everyone—dogs, cats, kids, and every human he meets. The "FOMO" King: Rooster has a serious case of "Fear Of Missing Out." He wants to be part of the daily action, the laughs, and the memories. Smart & Eager: He already knows his basic commands and is a "yes man" when it comes to pleasing his people. 🏡 Home Sweet Home Rooster is looking for a "place in the sun" where he can really thrive. Here’s his wishlist: A Pack of His Own: He’d love a home with other dogs to keep the party going. The Great Outdoors: A fenced backyard is a must for those hound-dog sniff sessions. Daily Adventures: He needs those daily walks to keep his mind, body, and nose stimulated. 📋 The Nitty-Gritty Rooster is a "pro" at home life. He is house trained and doggy-door savvy. While the crate isn't exactly his favorite place to be (he’d rather be next to you!), he will settle in after a few gentle reminders.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rooster [Foster Home], please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
