My story

Meet Frieza! Frieza is a gorgeous 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix who is ready to find her forever family. She came to us after her previous owner could no longer care for her, and she’s been blossoming into such a loving and playful companion. This smart girl is moderate-to-high energy and loves to run, chase, and play with other dogs. She’s crate trained and does very well in her kennel with no accidents. Since she spent much of her life outdoors, we aren’t completely certain if she’s fully housetrained, but during her recent Doggie Day Out, she showed great manners and no accidents with regular breaks. On leash, Frieza walks beautifully—she stays right with you, only needing a gentle reminder if she starts to pull. She’s also an excellent car rider, making her a great adventure buddy. While she enjoys playtime with toys, she’s just as happy being near her person. She’s a cuddle bug who loves snuggling on the couch, sitting in your lap, and leaning right against you for comfort. Frieza already knows “Sit” and “Come,” and she’s eager to keep learning with positive reinforcement. She can be a little timid at first, especially with unfamiliar objects like brooms or stairs, but she quickly warms up and bonds strongly with her people. Best of all—she’s quiet, with no barking or whining during her outing. Whoever adopts Frieza will be gaining not just a beautiful dog, but a sweet, affectionate companion who is ready to fill their home with love, adventure, and loyalty. Frieza is currently undergoing treatments for heartworm disease. Until she has completed her treatments and is fully recovered, Frieza is available for adoption only in the Atlanta area; She must be able to come to Furkids' shelter for treatments. Frieza weighs 36lbs and is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 02/22/2023). Frieza has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped.
